Cumberland Gap POW WOW

Mark your calendar for one of the most vibrant days of the fall season in Cumberland Gap! On Saturday, October 3, the green space in front of Gap Creek Coffee House will come alive with the sounds, colors, and traditions of the Cumberland Gap Pow Wow, a free, family-friendly celebration of Native American heritage right in the heart of our historic town.

The day kicks off at 10:00 AM when vendors open their booths, offering handcrafted goods, art, and unique finds you won’t see anywhere else. Then from noon until 4:00 PM, the Pow Wow takes center stage with live performances that bring centuries-old traditions to life. Come hungry, too, because traditional food will be on hand to round out the experience. Vendors will stay open until 5:00 PM, so there’s plenty of time to browse, shop, and soak it all in.

Whether you’re a longtime resident or visiting the Gap for the first time, this is a day to gather with neighbors, learn something new, and honor the rich cultural history of this land. Bring the whole family, grab a coffee, pull up a spot on the green, and enjoy an afternoon you won’t want to miss. All are welcome, and admission is free!
